Headphones and Earphones

I can not pass a day without listening to my ♫♪ music ♪♫ whether at home or riding a bus or just out running some errands. I can even not watch TV in a day, but just can't do without something playing in my ears. I must say I really love the quality of sound I get from earphones, much better than my laptop's mini speakers, ha ha. Sometimes the idea of connecting my earphones to my speakers comes to me but I just don't know how to do it or is it even possible. My earphones (together with my mobile) are the most used gadgets I got, I am already asleep and they are still playing.

I got the chance to try Klipsch S4i that comes with Apple iPod and the sound was really great. But when I tried it to my mobile the sound quality wasn't as good. I realized that it is because the earphones were made for the Apple iPod(?) that must be it. But sound was still much better than all the earphones I collected.

Klipsch S4i has built-in mic, three buttons for: call answer, volume and iPod remote playback. All are integrated in the thin cord that to me looks extra thin compared to other earphone cords. Its price equals the sound quality and the added features; it's a much better pick than other more expensive earphones out there.

Grado PS1000. The most comfortable, best-looking, best-sounding among Grado headphones or maybe among all headphones in the market. Its sound quality is like those of full size speakers. The ear-cups are comfy even if you wear them long hours. This gadget is just great ... should be(!) with a whopping price of $1,600 or so.

Laptops

Sony VAIO P Series is one of the most amazing mini laptops around. Named P Series Lifestyle PC, it sounds and looks fashionable and social indeed, aimed at middle to high-end customers. It is very light, only weighs 1.4 pounds, maybe the world's lightest; and ultra-portable, can literally be slid into your purse. Available colors: classic black, neon green, electric orange, hot pink and icy white. New P series has a clamshell design curves that give it a more friendly look.

If you turn the PC, the 8in display will automatically shift to landscape or portrait view, and you will have a better view of your text files, photos, e-mails, web pages or maps. This is a great feature of this new P Series. Another nice thing is the built-in GPS that will help you find directions even if you are not connected to the internet. It has Bluetooth and integrated mobile broadband, the screen is backlit, battery run time is up to 4½ hours, resolution is 1600 x 768 maximum. Qwerty keyboard, pointing stick, electro-static touch pad. Included Apps: Windows7, Microsoft Office 2010, Norton Security with limited free trial only.

Sony VAIO P Series Lifestyle PC is pretty much of a mini laptop.

My very first laptop ever was an IBM (now known as Lenovo). My handsome husband got it secondhand for less than US$400. Lenovo announced that the sales of their ThinkPads will go beyond 60M units by the end of October. Amazing! iLuvMyThinkPad ♥

Lenovo ThinkPad Edge 14 - Intel Core i3 i3-330M/2.13 GHz, dual core. Memory is 2GB/4GB max. Hard drive is 250GB. Display is 14in.

Alienware M11x

Another brawny gaming laptop from Dell is Alienware M11x, only 11-inch 720p display and weighs 4.4 pounds, very portable that you can just slide it into your backpack. I believe the small screen somehow helps lengthen battery life and also maintains the high-resolution of your games' graphics. It got Nvidia GeForce GT 335M which makes it the most powerful sub-15in gaming laptop in the market. Alienware M11x can play with the 335M and, although this is marketed more as a gaming machine, it can also interchange to Intel integrated graphics to do other stuffs.

Although there is no optical drive and battery is irremovable (I prefer otherwise for the most part), the look is fascinating: custom nameplate, lots of case lighting which you can turn on or off depending on how much you want, (your fingers need to get used to the) half-size keyboard but it comes with great backlight, alien head power button which is cute and add the handsome metal exterior to these. It has 2 headphone jacks, mic jack, SIM and 3 USB slots, of course Ethernet and card reader and also a lock port.

Friends tested games: Dawn of War II, DDO Unlimited, Dragon Age, Left 4 Dead 2, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Far Cry 2, and Grand Theft Auto IV.

Alienware M11x gaming performance is very good.

Nokia N8

The very first mobile I had was Nokia 3210 which I bought secondhand from my roommate when I worked overseas. It was one of my most loved cellphones because it was the firstborn in my 'mobiledom' so to speak, but when I got a newer one I gave it away to .. I can't remember who. I also had N90 which you can see on the photo below, which I used taking photo shoots of my favorite big nephew. I liked its twist and turn and how I could manipulate the flip side for better grip and shoots. I also liked the big screen to watch You Tube clips while commuting and getting caught in bad traffic. My only complaint was that it was heavy and I could not comfortably sit down when I put it in my pocket.

Nokia has been a top mobile selling brand. It has served millions of customers with high quality products and excellent service. It has always been offering the most user-friendly mobiles in the market. The Nokia Nseries was a very popular launching. The very first three Nseries (N70, N90, N91) were introduced in April of 2005. And a few more Nseries were released in the succeeding years. The line of phones under this name has a number of high-tech features that other phones do not have.

In anticipation, tech-savvy people made a pre-order of Nokia N8, the latest addition in the high-end Nokia Nseries. And according to Nokia this may be the last device in its flagship Nseries with Symbian OS, but will continue using Symbian on its mass-marketed handsets.
